Local MPs Judith Cummins (Bradford South), Naz Shah (Bradford West) and Philip Davies (Shipley) visited the tunnel on 5 April 2019 to meeting representatives from the Queensbury Tunnel Society, the abandonment works contractor, local residents and a cycling group.
They were clearly inspired by the structure and its potential to deliver social, economic and tourism benefits to this part of West Yorkshire.
